$50m tender for NSW government offices

St Hilliers, a developer and construction firm has won the right to develop a new $50 million office building on the NSW Central Coast for the NSW state government.

The new six-level, 7000 square metre mixed-use commercial building will be the first stage in a $200 million development on the former Gosford Public School site. The private developer paid about $10 million for the 1.1-hectare site and plans to develop about 250 apartments and retail in subsequent stages.

NSW minister for finance, services and property, Victor Dominello announced St Hillers as the chosen developer and said he was honouring a 2015 election promise to relocate 300 government jobs from Sydney to the Central Coast.

“This is a big win for Gosford and the project will provide the area with long overdue commercial development that will provide new jobs and economic stimulus for Gosford and the Central Coast,” he said.
