Regional Development Australia – Central Coast (RDACC) is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Gail Cottrill as its Chair.
Ms Cottrill is committed to supporting the organisation in its ongoing efforts to grow the Central Coast as a strong, viable and sustainable economic centre.
“I am extremely honoured to serve the Central Coast as the incoming Chair of RDACC. As a resident of the Coast and an active member of our local community, I am passionate about growing the opportunities for economic development here in our region,” said Ms Cottrill.
New Chair appointments of all RDA committees were announced by the Federal Minister for Regional Development, Kristy McBain MP.
Minister McBain said, “I congratulate new and returning RDA chairs, who will work closely with their community, local businesses and all levels of government to drive growth and development in their regions.
“With more than $117 million from the Australian Government set to flow across all of the RDA committees over the next five years, it is an exciting time for the new and returning chairs, as they’ll have the opportunity to work with their members to set the future agendas for their RDAs.
“We recognise the importance of local leaders supporting our work to build Australia’s future, whichis why I look forward to working with RDAs into the future.” Said Minister McBain.
“RDACC is a highly valued and respected organisation that has successfully partnered with regional stakeholders to drive economic development in our region and provide critical intelligence back to all levels of government about the key issues impacting our local community.” added Ms Cottrill.
“RDACC will continue to be an important conduit between all levels of government, business and our community to drive further collaboration, innovation and enhanced economic outcomes”, said MsCottrill.
Ms Cottrill will commence her Chair position on 1 April 2025.
