Chair’s Message – June 2018

30-05-18

Welcome to the inaugural edition of Voice of the Coast – your quarterly update from Regional Development Australia Central Coast (RDACC).

Here we share with you what’s been happening in the way of economic development, employment, investment and community building across our region.

Kicking off our first edition, we focus on how the Food Innovation Initiative is helping to create local jobs and reflect on the success of the Food Futures forum, which brought together major players from every part of the food chain to progress our aim of transforming the Central Coast into a major food destination.

We also take a look at how the 2018 Central Coast Not-For-Profit Series is helping local community organisations overcome any barriers to success and show you how our up-and-coming sports stars can access financial assistance to achieve their goals through the Australian Government’s Local Sporting Champions (LSP) program … and plenty more!

We’d love to hear what you think about our first edition so please get in touch with any feedback, comments or questions. In the meantime, you can connect with us via the RDACC social media channels to keep up-to-date.

Lastly, I am humbled and honoured by my recent reappointment as Chairman of the RDACC Board.

Announcement of the new board will be made by 30 June and I look forward to continuing our vital work in making the Central Coast a strong, prosperous and sustainable employment and investment destination for future generations.

Phil Walker
Chair
