Take Your Business to the Next Level as Small Business Fair heads to Gosford
21-02-19
Regional Development Australia Central Coast (RDACC) is encouraging local small businesses to attend the Australian Government’s free ‘Small Business Fair’ when it heads to Gosford next Wednesday 27 February 2019.
Whether you are an existing business owner who is keen to grow, or a sole trader thinking about launching your first business, the Fair offers a unique opportunity to find out about the incentives and programs that can help take your business to the next level.
Hosted by the Australian Government’s Department of Jobs and Small Business, the Fair will feature live demonstrations, keynote speakers, presentations and practical advice from a business coach.
RDACC Director of Regional Development and CEO, John Mouland, said that as small business was such an integral part of the Central Coast economy, he was pleased residents would have access to practical support and services.
“Small business is the heart and soul of the Central Coast, and we support any initiative that will help our local business owners to learn and grow professionally,” said Mr Mouland.
“With significant population growth predicted for our region, there is a critical need to generate more than 30,700 new jobs on the Central Coast by 2031. For this to be achieved, it’s vital that we have a strong, thriving small business market.
Mr Mouland further explained he hoped the Fair would help small businesses to tap into time-saving incentives and initiatives.
“The Small Business Fair is a unique opportunity for our local business owners to meet with Australian small business leaders, and to gain practical advice on how to start or grow their own business,” Mr Mouland added.
“Whether you are in hospitality, retail, agriculture or trades and services, we hope the expertise provided by the Fair will help your business to grow, and in turn, deliver long-term benefits for our entire region.”
The Australian Government’s Small Business Fair will offer face-to-face advice from business coaches on matters such as managing cash flow, understanding tax and superannuation systems, and targeting new customers through digital marketing tools.
The Small Business Fair will be held in the ‘Coral Room’ at Gosford RSL Club on Wednesday 27 February 2019, from 7.30am to 1pm.
The event will be officially opened by Minister for Small and Family Business, Skills and Vocational Education, Senator the Hon. Michaelia Cash, and Federal Member for Robertson, Lucy Wicks MP.
Registration for the Fair is free, and can be completed by visiting www.jobs.gov.au/small-business-fair
